On offer is a previously owned 1998 first printing hardback volume in a dust cover, both in excellent condition.  The cover notes mention that the book is dedicated to her grandmother Luisa, who strongly influenced Ms. Loren’s “spirit of improvisation … that marks the recipes.” It notes that the recipes are family favorites as well as recipes from other regions of Italy. Further, “in addition to the recipes and more than 100 photographs, Sophia shares anecdotes about her Neapolitan childhood and her legendary career in films.” Unlike many celeb cookbooks, this has recipes that are easy to make, from readily available ingredients. My own copy is splattered and dog-eared - two very good signs!
