The History

In 1926, the Association Agraria Riva del Garda was founded with the mission of promoting and supporting agriculture in the Alto Garda District. The Frantoio (olive mill) was created in 1965. Since 2000, it has operated as a cooperative. They pride themselves on constantly updating methods and technology to improve.

The Philosophy

Agraria Riva del Garda has a real passion for their land and region. They believe the quality and uniqueness of their products are the mark of the Lake Garda region, and they work relentlessly to produce the very best Extra Virgin Olive Oils and share them with the world.

The Grove & Mill

The breezes of Lake Garda mitigate the harsh climate of the Alps, allowing olive trees to grow farther north- in the 46th parallel- than they otherwise would be able to. In fact, this is the northernmost part of the world where olive trees grow, and they have for over 2,000 years. The special microclimate, a Mediterranean oasis nestled in the Dolomite Mountains, yields simply outstanding Extra Virgin Olive Oils that have won many national and international awards.

Each grower has passion for the land and many years of experience, and they uphold the highest standards of cultivation, following methods curated by the Agraria. The Frantoio (Olive Mill) is an innovative piece of machinery, constantly updated with technical changes. In 1998, it was the first mill to produce Extra Virgin Olive Oil DOP Garda Trentino, and since 2009, it has been certified for Organic production.
