Per Wikipedia: Carla Capalbo is an American-born British food writer, journalist and author.  She specializes in Italian and Georgian wine and cuisine. (Georgian as in the country, not the US state) The book on offer was updated from a 1994 edition and published in 2001. The recipes are accompanied by photos of the preparation steps, which is helpful. She covers many familiar recipes from starters through desserts. They are very approachable and the ingredients, for the most part, can easily be located.
