Cantucci almond biscuits with Colonna aromatico oil

Ingredients for 8:

  • 8,8 oz flour
  • 8,8 oz whole almonds (non toasted)
  • 8,8 oz sultanas
  • 8,8 oz sugar
  • 1 teaspoons raising agent (or self raising flour)
  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 egg whites
  • half a cup of Aromatico oil

Instructions:

Place the flour and raising agent (or self raising flour) in a bowl, make a hole in the centre and add the egg and egg whites as well as the sugar. Mix together then add the Aromatico oil and continue mixing. Add the almonds and sultanas.

Shape the mixture into a cylindrical roll, cover with flour and place onto a floured baking tray.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and cut into slices before it is completely cold.
