Product Info

On offer is a 2003 first US edition hardback book with dust jacket, both in excellent condition. This book was published in England in 2002 as The French Kitchen. The author is the well-known novelist whose body of work includes Chocolat, Blackberry Wine and Five Quarters of the Orange. In My French Kitchen she joins with acclaimed food writer Fran Warde and shares her treasured collection of family recipes that has been passed down from generation to generation. All the classics are here: Quiche Lorraine, Moules Marinière, Coq au Vin, and Crème Brûlée, plus an entire chapter devoted to French chocolate, including cakes, meringues, and spiced hot chocolate.  The recipes are easy to follow and Harris encourages the reader to engage all five senses when cooking. The photographs of the finished product, along with photos of France can provide you with a relaxing afternoon. The book was pre-owned.

ABOUT OUR SHOP

Most of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is from Lake Garda in Italy. Olive aren't typically grown so far north. However, the soft breezes coming from the south, across Lake Garda, get trapped by the leading edges of the Dolomite mountains and create a micro-climate. One that is ideal for growing olives!
