The winery chef Mary Evely produced a new way of looking at the pairings of wine with food in her groundbreaking 1998 cookbook. So much so that it won a Julia Child Cookbook Award. Instead of wine being an afterthought to combining with food, this cookbook starts with a wine and offers recipes appropriate to serve with that wine. This is the revised 2006 edition. It is a very personal cookbook, with author’s notes accompanying each recipe.
