Product Info

Many years ago, while living in the south of France, Brennan became fascinated with the potager as a way to stay in tune with the seasons. She has created such a garden at every home since. With this book, Brennan has presented us with a volume that is “gorgeously illustrated and lovingly written” with guidance on how to create and manage your own potager, that most beloved French culinary tradition. Of particular interest is her advice on adapting the kitchen garden to any climate. She proposes a classic selection of herbs and seasonal ingredients. And she sprinkles her simple, appealing recipes throughout the pages. The bulk of the book is organized by season, with practical tips for plantings. This is a 1998 first edition in very good condition with dust jacket.

ABOUT OUR SHOP

Most of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is from Lake Garda in Italy. Olive aren't typically grown so far north. However, the soft breezes coming from the south, across Lake Garda, get trapped by the leading edges of the Dolomite mountains and create a micro-climate. One that is ideal for growing olives!
