Born in Bangkok, the author came to London in 1976. Over time, he introduced Thai cooking to mainstream Londoners through his restaurants, spice store and cookbooks.  In it the author talks you through the essentials of a Thai curry and explains how the same ingredients are used differently to get different effects. He presents over 100 inviting and varied recipes including a whole chapter on vegetable and fruit curries offering many vegetarian options. The book is charmingly illustrated. He spends 30+ pages introducing the reader to Thai cooking, regional differences, spices etc. This is only one of more than thirty cookbooks he has written! This is a 2007 volume that appears to be a first edition. The book and dust jacket are in excellent condition.
