This is Jamie’s first cookbook. Not bad, since he was 24 when it was issued.  On offer is a first edition from 2000 in a dust jacket and in very good condition. Jamie started in the food business at 8 years old, working in his parents’ pub. He studied at the Westminster Catering College and worked with many well-known British chefs before going out on his own. The “naked” moniker has to do with the food, not the author. His concept is “strip it bare then make it work” for all his recipes, hence “naked.” The book has 120+ fuss-free recipes. This book accompanied his first TV series on Food Network, which was a giant hit.
