Product Info

This is a 1994 edition in excellent condition.  The introduction promises more than 450 recipes and 75 variations. I always judge a cookbook by its soup offerings, and this book does not disappoint. For example, it has a Cream of Tomato Soup based on recipes during the 19th century, followed by a modern version that is said to be “much lower in fat, cholesterol and sodium.” As you might expect, Reader’s Digest covers the American cooking scene from “sea to shining sea.”

ABOUT OUR SHOP

Most of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is from Lake Garda in Italy. Olive aren't typically grown so far north. However, the soft breezes coming from the south, across Lake Garda, get trapped by the leading edges of the Dolomite mountains and create a micro-climate. One that is ideal for growing olives!
