Product Info

Ms. Lo was born in 1937 in Guangzhou, the capitol Anglicized as Canton. Her family fled China in the 1940s and went to Hong Kong. It was there that she met Fred Ferretti, an American journalist working in Hong Kong at the time. They married in 1959 and moved to Queens, New York and later to New Jersey.  She began to teach cooking classes, as she wanted to share real Chinese cooking with her friends and neighbors. This led to a virtual Chinese cooking empire, with 11 cookbooks to her credit. She’s been called the Chinese Julia Child! She begins this book with introducing The Chinese Market. Then there are 3 parts: The Market as Classroom, The Market becomes Regional, and The Market Particular. In this book, there are photos, drawings, and so many tips to help you begin or heighten your journey in Chinese cooking. This is a 2009 first edition with dust jac

ABOUT OUR SHOP

Most of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is from Lake Garda in Italy. Olive aren't typically grown so far north. However, the soft breezes coming from the south, across Lake Garda, get trapped by the leading edges of the Dolomite mountains and create a micro-climate. One that is ideal for growing olives!
