Despite being 35+ years old, this book is NOT treasured for its “way back when” feeling. It is as relevant now as it was when new. If you think you know a lot about eggplant, just go read its entry…….Per Amazon the book: “is the acclaimed classic resource on the wide array of delectable fruits and vegetables currently available to shoppers and chefs. A treasure trove of invaluable information on how to choose, store, and prepare all kinds of produce—with more than 400 easy and extraordinary recipes.” The book was praised by Gourmet, Time and Bon Appetit magazines.  On offer is a 1989 paperback edition of the 1986 original in very good condition. And since we are Uncommon Gourmet, we had to put this book for sale on our website. (previously owned)

ABOUT OUR SHOP

Most of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is from Lake Garda in Italy. Olive aren't typically grown so far north. However, the soft breezes coming from the south, across Lake Garda, get trapped by the leading edges of the Dolomite mountains and create a micro-climate. One that is ideal for growing olives!
